I adore these two! Joy for life… and an excitement for each other! I’ve known Natalie for a few years… and I loved getting to know John + Natalie as a couple! Natalie just rocked her stunning natural beauty… and I even learned that John was voted best smile in high school and boy did he bring his A game to our engagement session! Love how these two just enjoyed each other and our adventure together! We had the incredible blessing of capturing their love on the property that John’s family farms… and you had me at yummy golden light! It was gorgous!!! (I’m also a sucker for sentiment and loved that it was a special place for the two of them… the place where they were engaged.) So thanks for taking a peek at their engagement session! Enjoy!I love pictures that tell stories… When I set out to capture her STUNNING ring… I captured it on one of rows of bean plants that John and his family farm (boy I hope I remembered that crop right…) I took them there because I loved the lines and the pretty plants… but as I edited those photos I thought a lot about how much work goes into every little detail in bringing life to this little plant… Preparing the soil… planting… investing time in caring for the crop… watering the plant… and how even the farmer still needs the sun to help it grow despite all of his hard work… and then there is the harvest… and even when you are enjoying the sweetness of harvest there is still more work in the future. It reminded me a lot of what marriage is as well… It’s a lot of work… a lot of investment… a lot of tending to the heart of the marriage… but that investment in your spouse and marriage has such a sweet harvest! And there’s continually more work to be done… but it’s always worth the work!!! So cheers to a lifetime of enjoying the investment you continue to make in each other! May you always look at each other like you did at your engagement session!!!
