I can hardly believe… it’s 2015!!! I am so excited for all of the exciting things that this year has in store!!! We are full of anticipation and counting down the days with our 2015 couples as they plan their wedding days and their own start to their forever!
With every new beginning I am reminded of our why… I pulled this next part from a blog post from a few years ago… but I still feel so strongly in what I wrote… With the beginning of a new year… a new season it’s so important to come back to the heart of why we do what we do… Why we see things the way we do… Why we love the way we do… why we photograph the way we do… even the why of taking photos in the first place! And in chipping away at my own heart I revealed a bit about myself and my little life… I think that life doesn’t always turn out how we imagined or planned and if I’m being honest… most of the time life and relationships are stinking hard work. But what photography does for me is create a refreshing reminder of what is beautiful. Our relationships… our connections that those little moments that fill our days. I love that photos allow us a chance to pause life long enough to really soak it in. It is through photographs that I am reminded that of how we are molded and shaped… those photographs contain the true moments of adventure, laughter, delight, and love. They are the beautiful moments that remind us of who we WERE… they speak to who we ARE. Photographs are the gentle reminder that you didn’t just survive… You LIVED! And you lived it beautifully! We are so excited for 2015!!!
When I reflect on our 2014 season… there were so many heartfelt moments! Soooooo many happy teary eyes (sometimes mine included) Countless thoughtful details… and so many lovely love stories told. I loved walking away being so encouraged to see so many families come together to love and support the incredible couples in their lives. Jared & I have been so thankful for every couple and family that entrusted such precious time to us! Our hearts desire was to serve you well… and we can’t wait to spend more time in the future!!!
