Let me tell you about the last time I was on a horse. I was 14 in Ensenada, Mexico on a Missions Trip. (side note also the same trip where I met Jared for the first time, but that’s a whole other story!) Picture it. it was Easter Sunday and we had a few hours of free time and my friend Reese and I decided to go for a cabillito ride on the beach. After paying our 5 American Dollars a man lead us both out to the beach riding our horses. Side note: These horses also only spoke spanish. so my panicked brain had a hard time quickly computing STOP/ALTO! The thing just kept running… faster… And Faster. And then up ahead I spotted a huge pile of trash. A pile at least 20 feet tall. (not really but seriously taller than a person!) and my horse was following Reese’s horse. And then Resse’s horse went around the huge pile of trash up ahead. and then it happened. Mine WENT OVER the pile of trash on the beach and I hung on for dear life! And we MADE it! We made it with me terrified on the horse on the other side. And that may be why I haven’t been on a horse since. ha!
Sara Beth from Horse N Around Trail Rides totally redeemed my love for horse riding!
Sara Beth and Kourtney were our guides for the day! And they were amazing! Took time with each of us to get us on and comfortable! I loved hearing from Sara Beth about how her love for horses started at the age of 2 and how she has pursued her dreams. They have dozens of horses available for rides and we fell in love with Sweet Pea, Lucky, _____ and ______. And they have some exciting adventures in the works.
Regardless of your riding experience Horse N Around Trail Rides is perfect for a fun adventure as a family! Take in the beautiful Bodega Bay and enjoy their beautiful horses. For more information on their beach rides check out their website… and tell them we sent you!
We started our adventure at the Hagemann Ranch and then drove to the beach from there… We love partnering with people, companies and adventures who encourage others to explore the world around them, connect with family and friends and live life well.
